Meet the Owner Halima

Casabenico is created by Halima  D. is a young entrepreneur from Senegal (West African) who moved to the U.S in 2011 to join her husband. Halima has always had a passion for handmade products from natural or recycled sources. Because of her desire to share her country's rich culture and craftsmanship with the world, she created Casabenico, LLC to share local Senegalese artisans' artistic work with natural products and recycled materials. While Casabenico is not yet Fair Trade certified, all our products are made and imported to our warehouse in the U.S using fair trade principles. Your purchase helps provide a better future to these talented women and promote Senegalese craftsmanship.
